Formed from the base of William Paton's Industrial Market - Laces Direct Ltd is the leading supplier of boot and shoe laces to the UK footwear manufacturing industry. This has been achieved with a personal association with the trade for over 40 years, spanning two generations. The core business is still the traditional Northamptonshire Goodyear Welted manufactures. Many other customers include a wide variety of other specialist makers from ballet shoe to orthopaedic. Export has steadily grown and there is regular supply into Europe and beyond to countries such as America and Japan.

Products

Laces Direct Ltd supply laces in a huge variety of colours and materials to suit all types of footwear. We specialise in pure cotton, mixed fibre combinations and polyester. Lengths from 40cms to 350cms can be offered. Our polished (waxy) laces are of the highest quality and feature in all the ranges of the major, made in England, Goodyear Welted footwear manufacturers.

The ‘retail’ side of the business has expanded in recent years. Laces Direct Ltd has always offered ‘banded & wrapped’ laces to both retailers and manufacturers. This supply in particular has grown rapidly in the last few years. The service includes: corporate branding including company logo and colours. Small runs and bulk are available including both banded and blister packs.
